Challenge
A regional furniture retail chain came to us with a website built on an outdated template engine. The 4,000+ item catalog took 6–8 seconds to load, stock levels were updated manually once a day and constantly diverged from reality, and the mobile version lost half of all carts before checkout. Online generated less than 10% of revenue — while their customers had long moved to the internet.
Solution
We didn’t patch the old engine — we rebuilt the store from scratch.
Catalog and speed. A new platform with server-side rendering and smart caching: product pages and listings open instantly, images are optimized automatically. Filters by size, material and price work without page reloads.
ERP integration. We set up two-way synchronization: stock, prices and order statuses update every 15 minutes. Managers stopped reconciling spreadsheets by hand — an order from the site lands straight in the accounting system.
Checkout. We cut the path to purchase from 6 screens to 2: cart, delivery and payment on a single page, online payment and installments, address autocomplete. The mobile flow got special attention — that’s where half the customers were being lost.
Result
Three months after launch, online sales grew 2.4× and visitor-to-order conversion rose 38%. The catalog opens in under a second even on weak mobile connections. Online share of chain revenue grew from 10% to 27%, and the client handed us their marketing landing pages for ongoing support and development.
