Challenge
A 6,000-SKU store lived in a gap: site stock updated manually once a day, and operators re-keyed every order into the ERP. Customers ordered sold-out items, tracking numbers were entered late — “where is my order” calls drowned support.
Solution
We built a two-way exchange: stock and prices flow from the ERP to the site every 15 minutes, orders flow back instantly, statuses return. Carriers connected by API: rates calculate in the cart, waybills generate from orders, tracking numbers reach customers automatically. Queues with retries: if the ERP is down for nightly maintenance, data catches up in the morning with zero loss.
Result
Manual order transfer disappeared as a job. Out-of-stock cancellations dropped 92% — the site and the warehouse live on the same numbers. Support unloaded: customers see status and tracking in their account before they think of calling.
