Pizza Delivery App: 55% of Orders Moved In-App

The task

A six-location pizza chain lived on aggregators and its website. Fees ate the margin, and loyal customers ordered through third-party apps — with competitors’ promos one screen away. The chain needed its own place in the customer’s pocket: an app with bonuses that make ordering direct the better deal.

The solution

We built two circuits in Flutter. Customer-facing: a POS-synced menu, a two-screen cart, saved addresses, payment, live order tracking on the map, and a loyalty program with boosted cashback for in-app orders. Courier-facing: an order queue, routes, one-tap statuses — the dispatcher sees every courier on the map. Push notifications replaced retargeting: “your pizza is on its way”, “we miss you — here’s a promo code”.

The result

Within four months, 55% of orders moved into the app. Repeat orders grew 38% — bonuses plus pushes did their job. Aggregator fee spending nearly halved, and the app paid for itself within its first quarter.
