The task
The company services retail equipment: 40 field engineers, paper work orders, photos in personal phones, reports written from memory in the evening. Dispatch didn’t know where crews were or what was done; clients disputed completed work; closing a job stretched into days.
The solution
An engineer’s app: work orders with addresses and site history, checklists per job type, mandatory before/after photo capture, the client’s finger signature on screen. The key requirement was offline: basements and remote sites have no signal, so everything writes locally and syncs when the network returns. Dispatch sees crews on a map with live statuses.
The result
Jobs close twice as fast: the completion act is produced on-site, not “back at the office”. Work disputes ended — photos and a signature are attached to every order. Paper disappeared entirely, and repair data finally became per-site history that drives preventive maintenance planning.
